Founding Designer — ChipIn (Benevolent Impact Inc)
We turn everyday golf practice into skill-based contests that raise money for causes. Players compete at driving ranges, on simulators, and through mobile shot tracer gameplay — winning real prizes while supporting organizations they care about.
We’re hiring our first full-time designer to help shape how this experience works end-to-end. This role is both hands-on execution today and design leadership over time.
You’ll design real workflows that players, partners, and nonprofits interact with every day:
• Contest entry and gameplay flows
• Leaderboards and scoring experiences
• Player onboarding across ChipIn + Toptracer + GolfTrak environments
• Range activation signage, screens, and QR-based entry experiences
• Campaign landing pages and conversion flows
• Cause-facing dashboards and participation experiences
• Marketing campaigns and launch visuals
• Partner-facing storytelling assets (ranges, nonprofits, brands)
• Brand and Raise decks
This is a build-the-plane-while-flying role.
As ChipIn grows, this role becomes the foundation of the design organization.
You’ll help:
• Establish design systems across product + campaigns
• Define gameplay interaction patterns
• Establish our voice for social and video
• Shape how contests feel across environments (mobile, range screens, simulators)
• Hire additional creative team members
• Build the structure for a small but high-leverage design team
You might be a fit if you:
• Can design clean workflows, not just screens
• Think in journeys instead of pages
• Are comfortable switching between product UX and campaign execution
• Enjoy early-stage ambiguity
• Like working directly with founders
• Utilize current technologies for efficiency
Bonus if you’ve worked in:
• Consumer gaming or contests
• Sports tech
• Marketplaces
• Loyalty or rewards ecosystems
• Early-stage startups
Or:
• Enjoy Golf (being good at it is not a requirement - or none of our current team would be here)
A note about the scope of this role:
While the role touches product UX, workflows, campaigns, gameplay experiences, and partner storytelling. We know most people don’t consider themselves equally strong across all of those areas.
What matters most to us is finding someone who’s excited about what we’re building and wants to help shape it with us.
You’ll be working alongside a strong technical and UX partner, and this role isn’t about doing everything alone. It’s about bringing your strengths to the table and helping us build the right design foundation as we grow.
Curiosity, ownership, and belief in the mission matter more here than checking every box.
